Manila, April 25 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has signed into law a measure declaring May 16 as "Education Support Personnel Day" and making it a special working holiday to honor non-teaching personnel.

Under Republic Act (RA) 12178 inked by Marcos on April 15, the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education are designated as the lead agencies in the preparation and implementation of the annual program of activities for the observance of the National Education Support Personnel Day.
