Manila, June 14 -- Two offices of the city government of Mati are temporarily closed due to rising coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections.

Ben Jason Tesiorna, Mati City Information Office head, said the City Assessor's Office (CAO) inside the City Hall complex and City Health Office (CHO) had to be shut down.

"There are five cases in the Assessor's office while there are four in the CHO," he told the Philippine News Agency in an interview on Monday.

CAO had been locked down since June 7 while the CHO will be closed only on Monday for disinfection.

The CAO has not yet decided on when it will resume operations while the CHO is definitely reopening on Tuesday.

As of June 13, Mati has 87 active Covid-19 cases
