Manila, June 25 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday led the destruction of more than PHP9.4 billion worth of seized illegal drugs, at a waste management facility in Capas, Tarlac, saying he wanted to personally witness the full process "from capture to destruction."

"Kailangan tiyakin natin na 'yung mga nahuhuling drugs ay talagang sinisira at wala nang pag-asa na bumalik pa (We need to ensure that the drugs that are confiscated are really destroyed and have no chance of returning [to the market])," Marcos said during the event held at Clean Leaf International Corp.
