Manila, April 9 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. directed concerned government agencies to expedite the release of benefits and assistance under the Comprehensive Social Benefits Program (CSBP) to the families of soldiers and police officers killed or wounded in the line of duty.

Marcos made the remarks during a gathering at the Tejeros Hall at Camp Aguinaldo on Wednesday, as part of the commemoration of the 83rd Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor).

The event was attended by the families of fallen members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police.
