MANILA, Nov. 15 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inspected on Saturday areas severely damaged by Typhoon Tino in Negros Occidental and checked on the condition of displaced families.
Marcos visited the Jose Pepito Montilla Garcia Sr. National High School in Barangay 1, Moises Padilla town where several classrooms were submerged by floods after Tino struck on Nov. 4, according to a news release from the Presidential Communications Office.
With classrooms yet to be repaired, the 1,257 enrolled students and teachers shifted to alternative learning methods to ensure continuity of education.
After visiting the school, Marcos went to Barangay Poblacion 1 to meet affected residents and assess damaged houses.
