Manila, June 26 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has directed the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to ensure the integrity of all anti-drug operations - from buy-busts to the proper disposal of seized narcotics - while intensifying efforts to curb the spread of illegal drugs in communities.

In a briefing in Malacanang Thursday, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the President's directive was for authorities to intensify anti-drug efforts without compromising legality and respect for human rights.

"Kaya ang utos ng Pangulo sa PDEA at PNP, siguraduhin ang integridad ng lahat ng operasyon mula buy-bust hanggang proper disposal," Castro said.
