Manila, July 31 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday called on newly installed Philippine Army (PA) chief Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete to demonstrate firm leadership and unwavering vigilance as he takes command of the service, amid heightened global uncertainty and security challenges.
Speaking at the 67th Philippine Army Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony in Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City, Marcos underscored the critical role of the Army in safeguarding national sovereignty and advancing peace and stability.
