Manila, March 29 -- The Philippines' growth can be sustained through closer cooperation between the national and local governments, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said.
During the proclamation rally of Team Marcos in Laoag City on Friday night, Marcos acknowledged that his administration needs the help of the local government units (LGUs), which know better the needs of their constituents.
He said the government's role is limited to implementing programs and strategies to bring progress to local communities and as such, the LGU's role is crucial in attaining his administration's agenda for prosperity.
