Manila, May 1 -- The government would improve the country's critical infrastructure to improve the commuting experience of Filipino workers, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said on Thursday.

During the 123rd Labor Day celebration at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Marcos said the government must ease the transit burdens on Filipinos commuting to work.

"Araw-araw, milyon-milyon sa ating mga kababayan ay kailangang gumising nang maaga upang bumiyahe patungo sa kanilang trabaho. Hangad namin na mas marami kayong oras sa pamilya, hindi naman nasasayang na nakapila lamang (Every day, millions of our countrymen have to wake up early to travel to their jobs. We want you to have more time with your family, not wasted waiting in line)...
