Manila, May 27 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed deep concern over the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, calling for the protection of civilians and adherence to international humanitarian law.
During his intervention at the 2nd ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Tuesday, Marcos condemned the rising death toll caused by Israel's military operations across the Gaza Strip.
His remarks came amid renewed calls from the international community for a ceasefire and greater humanitarian access in the conflict-ridden Palestinian territory.
