Manila, Feb. 11 -- LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte - The administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas (Alliance for a New Philippines) kicked off its campaign for the May 12 elections here on Tuesday, with all 12 senatorial candidates present to woo Ilocano voters.

In a press conference held at the Arabella Events Place, eight of the candidates shared their priority bills and plans if elected. Among these were the provision of sustainable livelihood and job generation, free medicine for senior citizens, tax exemptions, combating fake news, and amendments to the Local Government Code.
