Philippines, Feb. 10 -- The Marawi Compensation Board (MCB) has distributed nearly PHP2 billion to qualified claimants over the past two years, meeting its 100 percent payment target, an official bared Monday.
During the nationwide telecast of the Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon program, MCB Chairperson Maisara Dandamun-Latiph said the board disbursed payments to 1,436 claimants from 2023 to 2024.
"We had an impressive and efficient delivery of payments. For this year, we are targeting around 2,000 to 3,000 claimants to receive compensation," Latiph said.
