Manila, March 21 -- Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula on Friday asked the faithful to pray every day the Oratio Imperata for the intention of national unity.

According to Circular No. 2025-19, the Cardinal urged the Archdiocese of Manila to offer daily prayers starting Saturday, for the country to be as one.

"Let us turn to prayer, which is the most fundamental act in our desire for peace, justice, and unity," he said.

"I request all parishes and communities to pray daily the attached 'Oratio Imperata for the Nation' after the Post-Communion Prayer in all Masses."

The head of the Manila archdiocese said the Oratio Imperata is aimed at inviting everybody and "be open to continuous conversion towards truth, justice, and peace"....
