Manila, Feb. 2 -- Malacanang has declared several special (non-working) days in various local government units (LGUs) across the country in February 2026 in line with their founding anniversaries and local festivals.
In an advisory released by the Office of the Executive Secretary, the special non-working days were declared through a series of proclamations signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, by the authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., to allow residents to properly celebrate their local occasions.
Feb. 2 was declared a special non-working day in the province of Ilocos Sur for its founding anniversary under Proclamation No. 1151.
