COTABATO CITY, Oct. 10 -- Dozens of students in Kidapawan City and Tupi, South Cotabato, collapsed or experienced anxiety attacks following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck the Davao Region on Friday, prompting local governments to immediately suspend classes.
Maguindanao del Sur Governor Datu Ali Midtimbang ordered the suspension of classes at all levels, public and private, across the province, where the tremor was felt at Intensity III. Midtimbang also directed all municipal disaster councils to conduct continuous Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDANA) on all school buildings and government offices.
