Manila, June 24 -- A magnitude 6.3 earthquake hit offshore east of Baganga, Davao Oriental at 9:58 a.m. on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The quake's epicenter was traced 341 kilometers east of Baganga and was 34 km deep.

There is no destructive tsunami threat to the coastlines, according to Phivolcs.

The earthquake parameters do not meet the threshold to necessitate the issuance of tsunami information, it added.

Intensity III was felt in the City of Bislig, Surigao del Sur; and Tarragona and Boston, Davao Oriental.
