Manila, Oct. 13 -- A magnitude 5.8 earthquake jolted Cebu early Monday.
The tectonic quake, previously logged as magnitude 6, stuck 10 km. southwest of Bogo City at 1:06 a.m.
It was 5 km. deep.
In a bulletin issued at 6:19 a.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said Intensity V was felt in Bogo City, Daanbantayan, Medellin, San Remigio, Tabogon, and Tabuelan, Cebu; Villaba, Leyte; City of Escalante, Negros Occidental.
Intensity IV was felt in Cebu City; Lapu-Lapu City; Mandaue City; City of Danao, City of Talisay, City of Toledo, Asturias, Balamban, Bantayan, Carmen, Catmon, Compostela, Consolacion, Liloan, Pinamungajan, Sogod, and Tuburan, Cebu; Iloilo City; City of Roxas, and Pontevedra, Capiz; Ormoc...
