Manila, May 8 -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is looking to implement the strict enforcement of speed limits and other safety measures on all expressways through increased presence of deputized enforcers.

In a statement on Thursday, LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, emphasized the need for "maximum visibility" of all deputized enforcers along expressways to prevent overspeeding.

"The presence alone of even the expressway enforcers compel motorists to behave. Kung mabilis, magmemenor ang mga yan kapag nakakita ng sasakyan ng enforcers along the expressways (If they're driving fast, they will slow down when they see enforcers along the expressways)," Mendoza said.
