Manila, Nov. 6 -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Wednesday sought the assistance of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) into an alleged "systematic pattern of corruption" by the chief of the LTO Regional Office in Region 12 (Soccsksargen).

In a letter sent to NBI officer-in-charge Angelito DLP Magno, the LTO Central Office said LTO Region 12 Regional Director Meharrieh Tomawis was the subject of several reports of corruption and other violations of laws and regulations.

"In this regard, we are respectfully requesting the immediate and thorough investigation of the alleged acts and violation of Director Tomawis," it said.
