Philippines, Sept. 7 -- MANILA - In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to ensure efficiency in government operations, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has collected over PHP22.5 billion in revenues from January to August.

LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II said the revenue collection is due to the aggressive implementation of policy reforms, especially on motor vehicle registration and the strict implementation of road safety regulations.

"With the rate of our monthly revenue collection, we are on the right track of achieving our P34 billion collection target for this year," Mendoza said in a news release Sunday.
