Manila, July 11 -- Over 10,000 visitors logged in within the first hour of the launch of the Land Transportation Office's (LTO) online license renewal system through the eGovPH mobile application on Thursday.

In a statement Friday, LTO Acting Assistant Secretary Greg Pua Jr. said the number of users is "proof of a drastic change in the terrain of government services and transactions" and the preference of the public towards digital platforms.

"Gone are the days when our clients would be absent or take a leave of absence for their LTO transactions because they can now do so from the comfort of their homes, in their offices, and even in any part of the country," he said.
