Manila, Feb. 7 -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) distributed a total of 1,223 license plates for tricycles in Marikina City on Friday, clearing the city's yellow plate backlog.
The distribution was led by LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro, and Marikina 1st District Representative Marjorie Ann Teodoro.
In a statement, Mendoza said the distribution of the plates was part of the agency's efforts to clear the backlog for license plates.
"We are inching closer towards addressing the backlog of license plates for motorcycles and we attribute this to the all-out support of President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. to finally resolve this problem which started way back in 2014," Mendoza...
