Manila, Oct. 30 -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has intensified its campaign against "colorum," or unregistered, and overloaded public utility vehicles (PUVs) plying Antique.

Eric Otayde, LTO-Antique chief, said in an interview on Thursday that their deputized personnel have been conducting inspections on terminals, cemeteries, and other areas of convergence to check the licenses of the PUVs, as well as prevent overloading.

"We are taking a proactive measure in ensuring the safety of the commuters through our intensified campaign," he said.

Otayde also said that their campaign aims to prevent a similar incident where two students perished after the colorum van they were riding crashed into a house in Barangay Cadajug, Laua-an i...
