Manila, April 2 -- Fare discounts for students, seniors, and persons with disabilities will be shouldered by transport network companies (TNC) and transport network vehicle services (TNVS) operators, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the LTFRB said the 20 percent discount will be strictly shared by the TNC and TNVS operators, and must not be passed on to the driver --unless the operator is also the driver-- based on Memorandum Circular No. 2025-10 released on March 19.
"The TNVS operator and the TNC will equally share (50 percent-50 percent) the mandated fare discounts," the memorandum read.
