Manila, April 16 -- The local index's five-day rally comes to an end, while peso closed flat on Wednesday, the last trading day before the long Holy Week break.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) fell 0.83 percent to 6,134.62, while All Shares increased by 0.28 percent to 3,656.99 points.
Sectoral indices were mixed, with those in the green include Mining and Oil rising by 0.71 percent and Industrial increasing by 0.17 percent.
Wednesday's losers include Services, down by 1.86 percent; Holding Firms, down by 1.41 percent; Property, down by 0.26 percent; and Financials, down by 0.11 percent.
Advancers led decliners at 110 to 79, with 51 counters left unchanged.
