TACLOBAN CITY, April 8 -- The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Palo has called on the public to reflect more on spiritual journey with Christ instead of going on vacation this Lenten season, especially since the church marks 2025 as a Jubilee Year.
The Jubilee Year is celebrated by the Church every 25 years, and for 2025 Pope Francis has given it a theme Pilgrims of Hope.
In the Catholic Church, a Jubilee or Holy Year is a special year of forgiveness and reconciliation, wherein people are invited to come back into right relationship with God, with one another, and with all of creation.
