Manila, Feb. 18 -- Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is pushing for the passage of a measure institutionalizing reforms that will improve the quality assurance and analysis of test items in the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).
Senate Bill 52, which further amends the Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994 (Republic Act 7836), seeks the release of the licensure examination test questions and corresponding answers to the Teacher Education Council (TEC), which is mandated to improve the quality of teacher education and training in the country, within 15 days from the release of the results.
It also seeks the release of the performance of Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) within the same period.
