CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, June 29 -- Two Lanao del Sur lawmakers are pushing for a review of the existing policies of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), following the delayed flight of Hajj pilgrims last week.

In a joint statement released Tuesday night, incoming 1st District Representative Ziaur-Rahman Alonto-Adiong and 2nd District Representative Yasser Alonto-Balindong said they plan to initiate a congressional investigation on the problems raised about the NCMF and the pilgrimage process.

"Looking into the root causes of the problems our pilgrims encountered, as we closely coordinate with them regarding their most urgent needs and demands," the statement said.
