Manila, April 30 -- The Lakas - Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) has asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to track down the source of a fabricated document called "Oplan Horus" that falsely links House of Representatives Majority Leader Manuel Jose Dalipe to an alleged political plot.

In an April 23 letter addressed to NBI Director Jaime Santiago, Lakas-CMD Executive Director Anna Capella Velasco said the document, published in The Manila Times and spread widely on social media, contains Dalipe's forged signature and has caused "significant reputational damage."

The letter was released to the media on Wednesday.

Velasco said Dalipe "categorically denies any knowledge of or involvement with the said document."
