Manila, Feb. 13 -- Administration-backed senatorial candidate Panfilo Lacson is pushing for legislation to institutionalize the Kadiwa ng Pangulo program, a flagship initiative of the Marcos administration, in an effort to curb inflation.

During a press conference of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas in Iloilo City on Thursday, Lacson said the program, which allows farmers and food producers to sell directly to consumers, eliminates multiple middlemen in the agricultural supply chain, leading to significant price reductions.
