KIDAPAWAN CITY, June 20 -- The local government here will extend legal assistance to any Kidapaweno victimized by investment scams like the Kapa (Kabus Padatuon) community investment scheme.
Mayor Joseph Evangelista, in a radio interview on Thursday, said his administration is more than willing to provide legal services to victims of Kapa and the likes to recover the hard-earned money they invested in the schemes.
After meeting his legal team, Evangelista said his office is also coordinating with the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) as to what to do if similar investment scams would crop up later.
