Manila, Jan. 28 -- he Cordillera Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) Joint Task Group Kennon approved on Monday to open Kennon Road to light vehicles going up and down during weekends at the start of the Baguio Flower Festival.

Office of Civil Defense-Cordillera Administrative Region regional director Albert Mogol said they made the move to accommodate the expected influx of tourists who will join the month-long festivities.

The Baguio Flower Festival or "Panagbenga" will formally open on February 1 with a parade of the street dancing and drum and lyre participants. The event would culminate with the grand parades on February 29 and March 1.
