Manila, Sept. 18 -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regional office here has forged partnerships with 35 higher education institutions (HEIs) and training centers to create job placement offices (JPOs) inside campuses.

DOLE regional information officer Norma Rae Costimiano said Thursday that JPOs have been set up across the region's six provinces to institutionalize employment facilitation services in colleges and vocational schools.

"The initiative is part of DOLE's strengthened collaboration with academic institutions to institutionalize employment support systems for the youth, aligning with the government's mission of advancing full, decent, and productive employment," Costimiano told the Philippine News Agency.
