Manila, June 27 -- Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Acting Secretary Jay Ruiz is still in office, Malacanang said on Friday, dispelling rumors about reorganization in the agency.

"Secretary Jay remains to be the acting secretary of PCO. So, kung may mga ugung-ugong, wala pong nakakarating sa amin (So, if there are rumors, none of them has reached us)," Palace Press Officer Claire Castro told Palace reporters when asked regarding the supposed looming appointment of a new PCO secretary.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reappointed Ruiz as acting PCO secretary after the latter's ad interim appointment was deemed bypassed by the Commission on Appointments when Congress adjourned sine die on June 13.
