MANILA, Oct. 21 -- The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Tuesday reported the back-to-back arrests of foreign fugitives wanted by their respective governments, following successive operations recently by the agency's Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) in Cagayan de Oro and Olongapo City.
Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said in a news release that the first operation conducted with the Philippine National Police, BI Regional Intelligence Unit 10, and Japanese authorities, resulted in the arrest of Japanese national Yoshihiko Kubura in Barangay Patag, Cagayan de Oro City last Oct. 15.
