Manila, April 4 -- More areas are forecast to experience rains on Friday due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and the northeasterly wind flow.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ITCZ affecting southern Mindanao will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Surigao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, the northeasterly wind flow affecting Northern Luzon will cause light rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, and isolated light rains over the Ilocos and Cordillera regions, and the rest of Cagayan ...
