Manila, June 15 -- The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the easterlies will continue to affect the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Mindanao and the eastern section of Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to ITCZ.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have fair weather but some areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

PAGASA weather specialist John Manalo said no low pressure area or any typhoon would affect the country in the next two to three days.
