Manila, June 22 -- The southwest monsoon or "habagat" and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of the country, the weather bureau said on Sunday.

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to "habagat."

The rest of Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also caused by the southwest monsoon.
