MANILA, May 14 -- Internet watchdog Scam Watch Pilipinas (Scam Watch) has called on the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to appoint a new head for the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC).
In a statement on Wednesday, Scam Watch co-founder Jocel de Guzman said a new CICC head has to be appointed "as soon as possible to ensure the continuity of essential services, particularly those that help protect and assist scam victims nationwide."
"It is worth noting that the CICC has had no appointed executive director for over a month now," de Guzman said.
