Manila, Aug. 28 -- Stakeholders call for more integrated tie-ups to address the impact of climate change and to put up more climate-resilient infrastructure that will provide not only immediate relief but also a long-term impact.

Dr. Annabelle Sinlao, assistant professor at the Manila Central University's College of Medicine, during one of the panel discussions at the Eco-Business forum in Pasig City Thursday, said the bulk of the government's funding to address the impact of climate change is focused on disaster preparedness.

She said this is actually understandable "because we are vulnerable to typhoons, floods, and other climate events."
