Manila, July 11 -- A major road project being constructed in Ilocos Norte is expected to provide access to agri-tourism sites in Piddig town, including what is set to become the Ilocos Region's largest and most advanced coffee processing facility.

In a statement on Friday, Esperanza Tinaza, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Region 1 public information officer, said the ongoing construction and improvement of the 23.066-kilometer access road is expected to boost tourism by providing safer and easier access to scenic and agricultural destinations in Piddig.
