Manila, April 3 -- The Iloilo Provincial Health Office (IPHO) called on Ilonggos to remain vigilant despite the continued downward trend in dengue cases in the province.
IPHO Chief Dr. Maria Socorro Quinon reported Thursday that from Jan. 1 to March 29, Iloilo recorded 1,223 dengue cases, including seven fatalities.
The province recorded 95 new cases during the 13th monitoring week, lower than the 111 cases in the previous one to two weeks.
In the past three to four weeks, the provincial epidemiology and surveillance unit recorded 209 new cases and 222 in the last five to six weeks.
