ILOILO CITY, Oct. 23 -- The Iloilo Provincial Treasurer's Office is urging Ilonggos to avail themselves of the amnesty program on real property tax (RPT), which ends on July 5, 2026.

In an interview on Thursday, Provincial Treasurer Jean Maire Umadhay said they can visit the municipalities where their properties are situated or the Bayad Center at the provincial capitol.

She said if they could not pay the unpaid taxes in full, they could pay it in installments until the deadline.

"They only pay the principal because penalties, surcharges and interests are erased under the tax amnesty," he said.
