Manila, June 12 -- The 127th Independence Day is a fitting occasion to honor modern-day heroes as the country gathered to remember the courage, sacrifices, and dreams of Filipinos who fought with valor to gain freedom, according to the top official of the Department of Tourism in Western Visayas (DOT6) on Thursday.
