Manila, March 3 -- The local government and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will install safety measures at Sunset Boulevard following a recent fatal accident.
Mayor Jerry Trenas said Monday he is coordinating with DPWH to fast-track stoplight installation at the intersection of the circumferential road and Sunset Boulevard to regulate traffic and improve pedestrian safety.
"We are also requesting the addition of lay-bays and parking areas to improve traffic management," he said.
The City Engineer's Office will install solar floodlights, while the Traffic and Transportation Management Office will intensify monitoring.
