Manila, Feb. 2 -- Enhancement of the Iloilo International Airport's passenger terminal building is now 60 percent complete, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said Monday.

Improvements include the installation of four escalators, a flight information display system, the repair of the baggage handling system, the addition of new gang chairs and luggage trolleys, and the installation of three chillers.

"The steady progress of the Iloilo International Airport terminal improvements reflects CAAP's commitment to providing safer, more efficient, and passenger-friendly airport facilities," CAAP Director General Raul del Rosario said in a statement.
