Manila, Feb. 2 -- Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur marked their 207th founding anniversary on Sunday, celebrating over two centuries since their separation through a royal decree.
In Ilocos Norte, officials and local government employees took part in a cleanup drive and tree-planting activities, collecting tons of plastic waste, especially from Laoag City, following a thanksgiving concert.
During the commemoration in Saud Beach, Pagudpud, Vice Governor Cecilia Araneta-Marcos emphasized the province's resilience and unity over the years.
