MALASIQUI, Dec. 19 -- The Police Regional Office (PRO) 1 (Ilocos) confiscated PHP17.7 million worth of illegal drugs from Dec. 11 to 17 in various operations across the region.

Maj. Divina Albino, chief of the PRO-1 information office, in a phone interview on Friday, said the strengthened campaign is a result of 27 anti-illegal drugs operations, which also led to the arrest of 26 suspects.

A total of 110.30 grams of shabu and 14.08 grams of marijuana have been confiscated, she said.

"The Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) conducted six operations that resulted in the arrest of three suspects and some 85,150 fully grown marijuana plants discovered and uprooted," she said.
