Manila, Sept. 2 -- Ilocos Norte province is determined to remove dangling and "spaghetti wires" from its main thoroughfares for clearer skies and a much safer community.
This was after members of the 13th Sangguniang Panlalawigan (Provincial Board) approved the Anti-Spaghetti Wire Ordinance of 2025 in its final reading on Monday afternoon.
Ilocos Norte board member Johanson Chua, the main proponent of Provincial Ordinance 2025-07-005, said tangled and unsightly overhead wires are common throughout the province, posing such risks as fire hazards, accidents, and service disruptions, especially during emergencies.
