Manila, May 22 -- The Ilocos Norte provincial government, through its Metro Ilocos Norte Council (MINC), on Thursday released fare matrices for jeepneys and tricycles and encouraged the public to report violators.
This comes as delegates have started arriving in the province for the 2025 Palarong Pambansa scheduled on May 24 to June 2.
In a statement, lawyer Athena Nicolette Pilar, MINC head, said they have been receiving several reports that some tricycle drivers in this city, as well as in Batac City and neighboring San Nicolas town, have been collecting more than the allowable fare for each local government unit.
